Sierra Club - Tobacco Waste

Project Overview

This campaign, developed for the Sierra Club’s Tobacco Control Project, focused on raising awareness about the environmental harms of tobacco product waste—the most littered item on the planet. The goal was to drive community participation in a public opinion poll that would help shape future advocacy efforts.

My Role

I managed the entire marketing strategy and creative execution, including designing visual assets and developing a targeted paid media campaign to reach environmentally conscious audiences and drive traffic to the poll.

Key Deliverables

  • Paid media ad campaign across social media platforms

  • Visually engaging ad design tailored for community engagement

  • Strategic messaging for poll promotion

  • Digital performance monitoring and creative optimization

The Impact

The campaign boosted poll participation and helped Sierra Club gather essential community input for advocacy and policy development, while also building public awareness of tobacco waste as an environmental justice issue.

Why It Matters

Tobacco control is not just a health issue—it’s an environmental and equity issue. This campaign helped bridge that gap, encouraging public involvement and elevating the conversation about corporate responsibility and pollution.
